Shepard is the playable main character in the Mass Effect Trilogy.

Commander Shepard is one of my favorite characters ever. Shepard is an incredibly well written character for an RPG. I love the choice Bioware made to make a playable character that is more than just a blank page for the player. Usually it doesn't work in RPGs, but for Shepard it worked so well, it feels much more like making choices for a character in a film and getting to choose how the film plays out! And it has so much depth to it, you choices can often decide whether Shepard is a cold hearted murderer or a caring soul who tries to save every life they can.

Whenever I play Mass Effect I tend to lead towards Female Shepard because I personally like her voice acting a bit more than Male Shepard. I also usually go with a Vanguard build because it's pretty OP in ME3 to just spam Biotic Charge over and over, I get so much enjoyment out of it!
